Make an impact on the future of health care education an impact on the future of health care education<div><p class="phsa-rteElement-Paragraph"><em><strong>Jennifer, Regional Clinical Educator</strong></em></p></div><div><div><div aria-labelledby="ctl00_PlaceHolderMain_ctl07_label" style="display:inline;"><p class="phsa-rteElement-Paragraph">Are you an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) educator with a passion for learning? The Regional Clinical Educator role offers leadership opportunities, career growth and ongoing mentorship. “As a Regional Clinical Educator, I am lucky enough to work with others who are as passionate about education as I am," shares Jennifer. She is excited to make an ongoing impact on the future of health care education. “I feel strongly that both quality patient care and work satisfaction are closely tied to environments that support and value ongoing education."</p><p class="phsa-rteElement-Paragraph">The Clinical Education team works together to promote a culture that values and fosters learning. This includes supporting educators in their role, supporting new graduates and preceptors through various workshops, and working with Employed Student Nurses new to the profession.<br></p><p class="phsa-rteElement-Paragraph"><img src="/PublishingImages/jennifer-rce.jpg" alt="" style="margin:5px;width:600px;height:451px;" /><br></p><p class="phsa-rteElement-Paragraph">Jennifer began working at Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) 15 years ago, and has worked in a variety of settings including emergency and perinatal. This experience lead to her position as a Clinical Nurse Educator in maternity, which helped prepare her for the Regional Clinical Educator position. Throughout her career at VCH, Jennifer feels fortunate to be part of many fantastic teams including the innovative Clinical Education team. “Not only are they fun (not a single birthday goes unnoticed), but my colleagues are supportive and encouraging. The team is always willing to help each other out with projects or simply listen when a good debriefing is needed."</p><p class="phsa-rteElement-Paragraph">The Clinical Education department is a multidisciplinary team that is keen about new learning initiatives and innovations. “VCH has a remarkable Simulation team and the Learning Technologies team creates inventive new tools to engage learners. These teams work together with the Regional Clinical Educators to deliver the best experience for staff across the organization," says Jennifer.</p><p class="phsa-rteElement-Paragraph">Clinical Education is expanding their team of Regional Clinical Educators.
