    Home and community care services have general eligibility criteria based on citizenship, residency, age and health condition, and specific criteria for each service based on your assessed needs. You can contact the home and community care access line to arrange for care or have a health-care professional make a referral on your behalf.

Parking & Transportation

There is pay parking available at our two visitor lots located on the VGH campus:

  • Multi-level parkade at the corner of West 12th Avenue and Laurel Street, across from the main entrance of the Jim Pattison Pavilion.
  • The Gordon and Leslie Diamond Health Care Centre parking lot is located off of Laurel Street between West 12th and West 13th Avenue. There is a wheelchair-accessible overpass from the VGH parkade at Level 4 and a crosswalk at Level 2.

Windermere Care Centre

Windermere Care Centre is a 210-bed, 15-storey care home located in the heart of the city across the street from Vancouver General Hospital. The property includes a large private enclosed garden.
