<div class="ExternalClass089D1C8BAEAB41D7B4BEF8DF9ADE8750"><div><p>Nuclear Medicine is a specialty of medicine that uses radioactive materials to diagnose and treat diseases.  An examination involves the administration of a radioactive material via intravenous injection, inhalation or ingestion. Depending on the body organ being tested, imaging occurs immediately or up to several days post administration of the radiopharmaceutical. </p><h2>Is it safe?</h2><p>There are rarely any side effects.
