<div class="ExternalClass31AB5ACA91C64B7FBA89EC103D698A11"><p>​What is Nuclear Medicine?<br>Nuclear Medicine is a specialty of medicine that uses radioactive materials to diagnose and treat diseases.  An examination involves the administration of a radioactive material via intravenous injection, inhalation or ingestion. Depending on the body organ being tested, imaging occurs immediately or up to several days post administration of the radiopharmaceutical. <br><br>Is it safe?<br>There are rarely any side effects.
