Chown Adult Day Centre is a non- profit organisation; funded by Vancouver Coastal Health Authority for 25 clients per day. Open Monday ? Friday 8:30 a.m. ? 3 p.m. and until 4 p.m. one day a week.
We provide therapeutic recreation, health monitoring and respite to the frail elderly living in in Mount Pleasant and False Creek area, who live at home alone or with a caregiver.
We provide refreshments, including morning breakfast and a three course meal at lunchtime. A dinner meal to take home is also available on request. There is a nominal cost for meals and we bill monthly, we accept cash or cheques only.
Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.
?There is free parking available on the street. Some of it is residential parking. Handydart or family transport clients.
?Must reside in Fairview, Mt. Pleasant or Little Mountain Neighbourhoods.
Older adults require referrals from health care professionals. Chown does not accept "drop ins".
We do not offer tours whilst our Clients are in programs. All tours need to be prearranged by appointment with the Chown Nurse or Program Manager.
