Geriatric Psychiatry Outreach Team - Vancouver General Hospital

We provide comprehensive geriatric psychiatry assessment and treatment.

Our program is intended for patients greater than 65 years old and suffering from dementia, delirium, disruptive behavior, incontinence, failure to thrive as well as those with increased risks of institutionalization.

Please note: As of May 24, 2017, the Centennial Pavilion has been renamed to the Leon Judah Blackmore Pavilion.

Parking & transportation

There is pay parking available at our two visitor lots located on the VGH campus:

  • Multi-level parkade at the corner of West 12th Avenue and Laurel Street, across from the main entrance of the Jim Pattison Pavilion.
  • The Gordon and Leslie Diamond Health Care Centre parking lot is located off of Laurel Street between West 12th and West 13th Avenue.

There is a wheelchair-accessible overpass from the VGH parkade at Level 4 and a crosswalk at Level 2.

Eligibility

After initial contact has been made, an intake worker will contact the individual's family doctor for information and permission to proceed.
