Youvillage Adult Day Program

  • An opportunity for adults living in their home to come for the day to enjoy social connection and opportunities to engage in meaningful activities

  • Opportunity for care givers to enjoy respite while their family member is participating at Youvillage

  • Client's needs cannot be met at other ADPs because of physical complexities or behavioral challenges (such as the desire to leave need for a decreased stimulating environment)

  • Vancouver wide catchment area

  • Medications can be administered while at ADP if they are bubble packed and come with the MAR from the pharmacist

Hours of operation

?Monday- Saturday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Flexible hours depending on need but latest pick up is 4 p.m.

Referral

The most recent and up to date RAI-MDS-HC and the Client Face Sheet. 

A sheet or conversation with the Program Coordinator outlining the specific reason why Youvillage is the most appropriate adult day program for the client. 

Parking & transportation

Clients can be brought to and from the program by Handidart or by family members. The Youvillage bus is presently not in operation due to inability to find staff with their class 4 licence. 

There are a few places to park at the front of the building, some street parking and a parking lot at the back of the building accessible from 33rd.


Eligibility

Adults of any age who are living with dementia and/ or medical health complexities whose needs are unable to be met by other Adult Day Programs.

Must live in Vancouver. 

Must be referred by a Case Manager in the community health department.
