LGH Breath Program supports your ability to self-manage Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) through learning, exercising, and connecting with others. The 5-week program consists of:
Initial meeting with the team/respirologist
10 Group Education sessions covering a variety of topics:
Each group education ends with an exercise component which include aerobic exercise, weight training and stretches.
A follow-up assessment at 3-6 months after the completion of the program is provided.
Sessions run from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday for five weeks. We have 12 ? 16 participants in each session. Some participants may be invited to continue with the maintenance program.
The maintenance program is suitable for individuals who require regular supervised exercise, have a low exercise tolerance, and are on supplemental oxygen.
We accept referrals from a physician or a nurse practitioner.

Pulmonary function (within 3 years)
