St. Vincent?s Langara is home to 196 residents. The three-storey care facility opened in 1991 and is located in a residential area of Vancouver across from a lovely municipal park. There is a large atrium on the main floor with access to a courtyard/garden area. A spacious sunroom was added to the 2nd Floor in 2003. The home is divided into 9 neighbourhoods with between 20-30 elders living in each one. Ample free parking, including wheelchair accessible spaces is available. There is a covered area at the front of the building for convenient drop off.

The Alder Unit at Langara serves both the Vancouver Coastal and Fraser Health authorities for neuropsychiatry. New admissions will be accepted from the above two health authorities, with the Alder Unit having a capacity of 20 beds. The Alder Unit is a secure unit with specialized staffing and higher client/staff ratios.

St. Vincent?s Langara offers a combination of 196 residential care beds and 20 neuropsychiatry mental health beds.
