Dental Public Health Program - Powell River Community Health Centre

We provide services to prevent early childhood dental disease.

We focus on prevention and early intervention of early childhood dental disease. Preventive public health dental services are for children 1-5 years.  Services include:

  • 12-month risk assessment

  • Dental screening

  • Oral health information

  • Fluoride application

  • Referral

All services are provided in clinic by appointment and in outreach settings.  We also provide oral health education to various groups in the community upon request.

This dental program also provides assistance to people living with developmental disability through the Dental Health Services for Community Living Program.

Hours of operation

Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Referral

Children can be referred through 12-month risk assessment and community dental screening, or parents can phone to make appointment.

Parking & transportation

?Upper 3rd floor parking lots are available at the back of the facility. 

Eligibility

The program is available for families living in the Powell River area.

Age range: 0-5 years
