The Outpatient Psychiatry Team provides psychiatric consultation, assessment and treatment for adults who have anxiety, depression, and/or personality issues.
Our goal is to improve clients' quality of life, prevent relapse and build on existing skills and the goals of each client.
We provide psychotherapy in group settings. Our therapeutic approaches include:
Dialectical behavioural therapies
Monday - Friday
8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
A referral from a doctor is required to access this program.
Metered parking is available behind the facility.
Who is eligible?
To be eligible for this program, you must:
Be able to safely participate in group psychotherapy, respectful of different ideas and explore therapeutic issues.
Live within the area served by Vancouver Coastal Health. People from outside of area will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
Be assessed for your ability to participate if you are using substances and impaired. Clients who show up intoxicated for group treatment will not be allowed to participate in that group.
Who is not eligible?
This service is not designed to meet the needs of people:
Involved in legal, WCB, ICBC, and MCFD processes.
With Bipolar Disorder, ADHD, or Autism.
With unstable psychosis, violence or suicide risk
Everyone will be supported to find the services that best meet their needs.
