Older Adult Mental Health Rehabilitation Services (Bright Spot) - Cambie Street

?Older Adult Mental Health Rehabilitation Services provides a psychosocial day program and individual occupational therapy assessment and rehabilitation services (including peer support) to enable seniors who have a serious mental illness to participate in life as fully and independently as possible. 

This program also provides a range of other health and wellness and leisure groups. Clients must meet the Older Adult Service mandate of VCMHS to access the rehabilitation program. 

Some services are offered at satellite site at 2750 East Hastings Street.

Parking & transportation

There is pay parking available at our two visitor lots located on the VGH campus:

  • Multi-level parkade at the corner of West 12th Avenue and Laurel Street, across from the main entrance of the Jim Pattison Pavilion.

  • The Gordon and Leslie Diamond Health Care Centre parking lot is located off of Laurel Street between West 12th and West 13th Avenue.

There is a wheelchair-accessible overpass from the VGH parkade at Level 4 and a crosswalk at Level 2.

Eligibility

?Must meet the Older Adult Mental Health Service mandate or be a client of the Vancouver Older Adult Mental Health Program or of Vancouver General Hospital's Geriatric Psychiatry Outreach Team. 

Age Range: 65 and over
