Spirometry Testing - Vancouver General Hospital

Spirometry testing is a simple breathing test used to diagnose and monitor COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) and other breathing problems. Your doctor needs to order this test by filling out a requisition form.

During the test, you will breathe into a machine that will measure how much and how fast you can move air in and out of your lungs. Your physician may also ask the health care professional conducting the test to give you a breathing medication during the test.

Please note: As of May 24, 2017, the Centennial Pavilion has been renamed to the Leon Judah Blackmore Pavilion.
