Multidisciplinary Vulvodynia Program - Gordon and Leslie Diamond Health Care Centre

?Operates a treatment centre devoted to the care of women with genital pain. Also serves as a resource for community physicians providing medical care for women with vulvodynia, and hold a repository of essential treatment guidelines that will ensure patients receive only the highest quality of care.

Parking & transportation

There is pay parking available at our two visitor lots located on the VGH campus:

  • Multi-level parkade at the corner of West 12th Avenue and Laurel Street, across from the main entrance of the Jim Pattison Pavilion.
  • The Gordon and Leslie Diamond Health Care Centre parking lot is located off of Laurel Street between West 12th and West 13th Avenue.

There is a wheelchair-accessible overpass from the VGH parkade at Level 4 and a crosswalk at Level 2.

Eligibility

?Patients who are appropriate candidates for the program include those who have a primary health care provider that can provide ongoing support and management; women suffering from provoked vestibulodynia primarily and only minimal daily vulvovaginal discomfort, and; women who are capable and committed to participating in the complete program - medical appointments, physiotherapy appointment and group cognitive behavioral therapy. (i.e. English speaking, able to commute to the center). Gender: All Age Range: 18 - 45
