Rowena brings over 25 years experience in information technology, finance, project and supply chain management and has served on a number of professional, private and non-profit boards. She retired from her full time executive position at Canada’s largest Credit Union in 2007 and is now devoting her time to board and volunteer work. In September 2010, she was elected to serve on the board of the Canadian Internet Registration Authority (.CA) and was re-elected for a second term in 2013.
At Vancity, she was the Vice-President of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer. She was also the CEO of Vancity’s wholly owned subsidiary Inventure Solutions Inc. Inventure Solutions is a technology services provider for Vancity as well as a number of other financial institutions in British Columbia.
Before joining Vancity, Rowena held management positions at IBM, BC Gas, Westech Information Systems, BC Hydro and Sandwell Engineering. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of British Columbia and is a Certified General Accountant.
