Brett brings more than 20 years of progressive experience in human resources. Most recently, he was Vice President, People & Corporate Responsibility at Hootsuite, where he led a team focused on increasing employee engagement and staff retention strategies. Prior to that, he was Vice President, Human Resources at EA Canada and BioWare where he was responsible for engaging a global team by delivering change leadership, executive coaching, performance management and employee development. At EA, Brett launched a successful talent acquisition program to recruit industry top talent as well as delivering a people-first approach to increasing employee satisfaction and engagement levels across the organization. He has also held senior roles at Activplant, a manufacturing intelligent software firm, and Nortel Networks, a telecommunications organization.
In addition to his experience spanning start-ups to successful Fortune 500 companies, Brett is an authentic leader with a passion for patient-centred care. He holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science from the University of British Columbia.
