Oliver Grüter-Andrew brings more than 20 years' experience in IT strategy, governance and service management, in both the public and private sectors.
In his most recent role as Chief Information Officer at the University of British Columbia, he led the transformation of the information technology function and worked with senior leaders to establish a roadmap for the evolution of the university's major information systems. He has also led large cross-functional teams and multi-year, international transformation initiatives involving changes in staff culture, process and technology. As Partner with Western Management Consultants, he developed an initial IT sharing model and business case for Health Shared Services BC, and also held IT leadership roles at Accenture.
His role as Chief Information Officer for VCH is part of a broader Lower Mainland responsibility for IMITS services which are managed by the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) on behalf of VCH, PHSA and Providence Health Care. IMITS also supports provincial health care IT initiatives on behalf of the Ministry of Health.
