The flu season is officially over! And thank goodness because this was one of the most intense influenza seasons we’ve seen in a long time.
This means that for those people who have not had a flu shot, masks no longer have to be work while in a health care facility.
Thank you to those of you who got a flu shot or wore a mask while at our sites.
Overall we distributed 438,000 flu immunizations to the public, plus 12,539 VCH staff got the flu shot.
The flu and respiratory viruses can still circulate for the entire year, just not at the levels we see during the flu season. It’s always important to wash your hands and use proper cough and sneeze etiquette.
