Physicians from Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) and Providence Health Care (PHC) celebrated a major milestone in physician-led quality improvement earlier this month.
A group of 22 physicians who have completed quality improvement training secured support and funding for 21 physician-led quality improvement initiatives, ranging from improving concussion identification and treatment in the emergency department, to implementing a thoracic surgery quality monitoring system.
Physician-led quality improvement is another way VCH is working to advance quality and patient safety across services in acute and community settings.
