High school students lifted the veil of stigma surrounding mental health this past weekend at a youth-led summit.
Students from nearly 20 high schools from Pemberton to Deep Cove took part in the Talk at the Top summit on Grouse Mountain.
Along with collaboration with community and service providers, students discussed approaches to prevent and confront mental health slurs, heard from inspiring youth speakers and took part in a snowshoe scavenger hunt (pictured).
They also brainstormed ideas for projects to initiate personally, and back at their schools and in their communities, to mark National Child and Youth Mental Health Day in May.
Vancouver Coastal Health, Bell Canada, and the Canadian Mental Health Association sponsored this fourth annual event.
