Vancouver Magazine has released its annual list of the top 50 most powerful people in Vancouver and our Dr Patricia Daly, VCH's Chief Medical Health Officer, has cracked the top 10! She is listed as 9th, the same spot she was in last year.
The magazine put her in the power position for several reasons including her role here at VCH, as well as for serving as the executive director and clinical lead for BC’s first Overdose Emergency Response Centre (OERC).
Dr Daly credits the entire teams at the OERC and Public Health at VCH for the magazine’s listing.
Dr. Daly: “Public health work is always a team effort, and I represent an amazing team of medical health officers and public health staff who continue to do excellent work to improve the health of the population, and take on challenging issues like the overdose crisis.”
VCH Public Health works to improve the health and well-being of residents through preventing disease, promoting health, and prolonging life among the population as a whole. To learn more about what Public Health does, visit the webpage.
