On May 23, staff in Pemberton and Whistler celebrated their colleagues and friends who reached service milestones in 2018. Along the Sea to Sky corridor, 59 people reached milestones in 2018 – 45 staff and 17 physicians.
Coastal Chief Operating Officer Karin Olson and Director, LGH Emergency, Critical Care, Access & Flow, and Sea-to-Sky Acute Services Shannon Chutskoff were there to help celebrate the occasion with Meghan Thompson, Interim Acute Services Manager for Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton and Colleen Moberg, Manager, Public Health & Prevention, Home & Community Care for the Sea to Sky region. Shannon McCarthy, Coastal Director, Mental Health Substance Use joined for the Whistler celebration.

In Pemberton, nurse Suzi Kruger was honoured for 10 years with VCH and program support clerk Heather Gamache was recognized for 25 years’ service.
At Whistler, seven staff members reached milestones in 2018. Celebrating five years were ED clerk Emma Haggerty, LPN Christina Brach and RN Kelly Burke. Marking a decade of service were nursing support worker Shelly Kerwynn and admitting clerk Marsha McConkey. Capping off the celebration were RN Lynda Cowan and MHSU nurse Jennifer Larson who were recognized for 15 years with VCH.
