Roll up your sleeves and donate blood

This September, Canadian Blood Services is inviting you to roll up our sleeves and give blood. From September 2nd to September 28th, as part of BC's first annual Healthcare Month, Canadian Blood Services will be doing a Blood Drive— and you can help!

As healthcare workers, many of us see the impact blood donations make on patient care first hand. In BC alone, we need 10,000 blood donations each month to serve hospital patients. Taking an hour out of your day to donate blood this September could make a lifesaving difference to a patient in need.

What you need to know as a potential donor

Preparing for your donation

Please make sure you hydrate (at least 2L of water day before and 1 L of water day of) and eat before you donate. Make sure you are feeling well and bring Government Issued ID!
