Three Bridges Community Health Centre (CHC) and the West End Mental Health Team have now integrated programs and services and officially opened their doors on July 9th to serve clients in need in the West End and downtown communities at our new Community Health Centre located at 1128 Hornby Street.
The new CHC is part of a larger strategy to enhance and expand services in the West End/Downtown that came about after consulting with staff, clients, community stakeholders and residents. By bringing together the expertise of all the programs and services at Three Bridges CHC and the West End Mental Health Team in one central location, we can better integrate clinical programming and team-based care to meet the current and future needs of the community.
“We’re committed to improving access for those most in need of health care services in the Vancouver West End and downtown communities,” said Bob Chapman, VC Director for City Centre. “The new Community Health Centre lets us expand and streamline access for residents and also gives our outreach teams more space to better provide services throughout the community.”
Both staff and clients will benefit from newly renovated shared group meeting spaces, clinic spaces and work areas. Renovations, including purpose-built clinical spaces with new paint, flooring, and furniture, will allow for a more welcoming space. Bike lockers, showers, a large lunch room, and WiFi will also be available for staff and physicians at the new site.
