Volunteer at our Travel Clinic

29/10/2015
The Vancouver Coastal Health Travel Clinic is seeking volunteers interested in travel health, vaccinations, and/or public health. Ideally, these would be pre-med students seeking experience in a health care/clinical setting but everyone is welcome to apply.
This volunteer position is Mondays through Thursdays from 5pm to 8pm and applicants can pick the number of nights they would like to commit to. Help greet clients and sign them in, while learning about travel medicine and gaining experience in a clinical setting.
The clinic is located in Vancouver on West Broadway at Ash Street.
Please send a resume to eliza.wong@vch.ca.
The VCH Travel Clinic is owned and operated by the Public Health branch of VCH, travel medicine is not covered by the government. We run on a cost-recovery basis and any money that does not go towards overhead costs, goes back into Public Health (e.g. last year, we were able to help buy free HPV vaccines for those who were unable to get the publicly funded supply). We try to cover our own operational costs while maintaining a high level of care. The Travel Clinic has been designated as the BC Centre of Excellence in Travel Medicine by the Ministry of Health.
