What you need to know about B.C.’s COVID-19 Immunization Plan – information sessions for Cantonese and Mandarin speakers

17/03/2021

In partnership with S.U.C.C.E.S.S., Vancouver Coastal Health is pleased to be hosting two information sessions about the COVID-19 vaccine rollout in British Columbia on March 20 in Cantonese and March 27 in Mandarin.

Dr. Kendall Ho, emergency physician at Vancouver General Hospital, will lead the information sessions and will cover what you need to know about B.C.'s COVID-19 Immunization Plan, including:

  • Who should receive the vaccine

  • What kinds of COVID-19 vaccines are available in Canada

  • Safety and effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccines

  • Who is eligible to receive the vaccine and when/how to book a vaccination appointment

  • What you need to know before and after receiving the vaccine

We invite our community to share this information with their Cantonese or Mandarin-speaking clients, family members, neighbours and friends.

The information sessions will available via Zoom – both online and by phone – and on YouTube. Zoom has limited participant capacity and because we would like to reserve some spaces for those who need to phone in, we ask participants with internet access to please consider watching the information sessions on YouTube. No registration is necessary.

Details of the information sessions are as follows (in English and traditional Chinese):
