A leader in food policy and food securityOn October 30th, community nutritionist Corinne Eisler received the Community Nutritionists’ Council of British Columbia’s Excellence in Community Nutrition Award. This award honours a community nutritionist who demonstrates the following qualities:
Corinne has practised in Vancouver for the past 27 years. She is very well known in the community for her leadership in the area of food policy and food security, which she has been involved in since 1992. Corinne has also authored a number of manuals including the VCH Nutrition Orientation Manual - Birth to 5 Years (2004) and Growth Monitoring in Community Settings Birth to 20 years – A Reference Manual (2005). Corinne helps colleagues develop skills and share wisdom. She trusts in people’s abilities to determine the best actions while paying attention to both process and product. |
