Dr. David Ostrow is President and Chief Executive Officer for Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH), the largest academic/tertiary health authority in British Columbia.
He graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1968 and received post-graduate education in Montreal, Winnipeg, and East Lansing, Mi.
He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada in 1973, of the American College of Chest Physicians in 1976, and of the American College of Physicians in 1986.

As a chief operating officer for Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH), Mary Ackenhusen oversees the delivery of health care in Vancouver.
Prior to joining VCH, Mary served on the Fraser Health Authority’s leadership team for almost a decade. She led Fraser Health’s facility planning and real estate, systems analysis and performance improvement, and new business development. In 1990, she became director of Quality and Operations at INSEAD, an international business school based in Fontainebleau, France.

Clay Adams, Vice President, Communications and Public Affairs, has extensive experience in strategic communications and planning, media relations, issues management and stakeholder communications in Australia and Canada.

As chief financial officer and vice president, Systems Development & Performance, Duncan Campbell is responsible for a range of areas including Financial Services, General Counsel and Legal Services, Facilities, Business Initiatives and Support Services, Patient Flow Improvement, Internal Audit, Supply Chair and Logistics, QUIST, and Decision Support.

Dr. Jeff Coleman, Vice President of Regional Programs and Service Integration, and was formerly Chief Operating Officer for Richmond Health Services and Executive Director of Medical Affairs for the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority.
In addition to his administrative responsibilities, he is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Faculty of Medicine, University of British Columbia, and continues to practice in his specialty of Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Daly is Chief Medical Health Officer and the Vice President, Public Health for Vancouver Coastal Health. She is also a Clinical Professor in the School of Population and Public Health in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of British Columbia.
As a public health physician, her primary mandate is to improve the health of the population that Vancouver Coastal Health serves through prevention and health promotion. She is responsible for communicable disease control including management of outbreaks, health protection and environmental health, community care facilities licensing, population health and public health surveillance within Vancouver Coastal Health.

Dianne Doyle was appointed in September 2006 as President and Chief Executive Officer of Providence Health Care, one of Canada's largest faith-based health care organizations based in Vancouver, BC. Dianne brings to the role more than 20 years of senior executive experience in health care and over 25 years directly at Providence Health Care. Before taking on this new role, Dianne was a Vice President of Clinical Programs at Providence Health Care.

As a Chief Operating Officer Coastal, Wendy Hansson oversees the delivery of health care on the North Shore, Sea-to-Sky, Sunshine Coast, Powell River, Bella Bella and Bella Coola. She brings to the role over 20 years of senior management experience in clinical operations, health care system transformation, financial/capital and strategic planning and policy development at the provincial, regional and local levels across the care continuum.

Harvey came to Vancouver Coastal Health in 2005 from her role as chief operating officer of the BC Nurses Union, where she had responsibility for negotiations and administration of the union, which has annual revenue in excess of $22 million and assets in excess of $40 million.

Dr. Patrick O’Connor, Vice President, Medicine, Quality and Safety, is responsible for leadership and direction in the delivery of quality clinical services in a variety of health areas across Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH).
He leads the VCH Patient Safety Steering Group and collaborates with senior leadership from other health authorities to implement province-wide systems to prevent, identify and resolve patient safety and quality issues. Some of the areas included in his portfolio are infection control as well as client relations and risk management.

Susan Wannamaker, Chief Operating Officer, Richmond and Chief Nursing Officer & Executive Lead Professional Practice - VCH, brings almost three decades of clinical and leadership experience to her role. Through her various leadership roles, she has reinforced the value of a regional health system by building on the opportunities and synergies available to support quality and efficient service delivery across the continuums of care. Wannamaker has led teams and clinicians through redesign processes and supported change to ensure it reflects a sustained approach to health service delivery and – more importantly – improved care and access for the patients we serve.

Maureen Whyte, Vice President, Strategic Community Initiatives, has 35 years of health care experience in BC. Fifteen of those years were spent as a frontline care provider in acute and community mental health and community continuing care. The last 14 years have been in senior management positions. Her most recent position was Vice President, Clinical Service for Vancouver Hospital and Health Sciences Centre, and Vancouver Richmond Health Board.
