Bent out of shape

Film maker Catharine Parke documents her brother, David, in his personal journey to recovery after a mountain biking accident resulted in a serious spinal cord injury.

David was cared for at the Acute Spine Unit at Vancouver General Hospital and at GF Strong before being discharged in October 2010.

The short film was initially made to share with friends and family, but Catherine and David would like to share the story with people who want to learn more about spinal cord injury, patients on the same journey and staff at Vancouver Coastal Health involved in David’s care.

The Parke family is grateful for the excellent care David received while at Vancouver General Hospital and GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre.
