EMR training is automatically arranged through Clinical Education for students. The date chosen is on or after the start date as listed in HSPnet. EMR Clinical training is typically only offered on Mondays and students need to organized their schedules to be available to attend these classroom dates to be prepared for their VCH placements. If a school has 8 or more students needing EMR training, a specific date possibly can be arranged by the school placing coordinator reaching out to Placements@vch.ca at least one month in advance or earlier of the placement start date.
EMR training confirmations will be sent directly to student's school email. If a student has not received a training confirmation approximately two weeks before the placement start date, please email Placements@vch.ca for assistance.
Important: PARIS access and training is required only for specific VCH sites within Community. If you are unsure whether or not you are required to take the training, check with your school coordinator.
The PARIS training is offered on the Learning Hub. The online training is self-paced and takes approximately 2.5 hours to complete. It can be accessed on any computer with internet access.
