Posters April 2011 Annual Report

This report captures how the Community Engagement Department has helped VCH to involve the public in some of the policies and services that affect their lives. It outlines past achievements and outlook for 2011-2012.

Patient Voices to Inform Ideal Experience

This report reflects feedback gathered from women, who gave birth at Richmond Hospital, and their partners. This consultation was part of a larger project to use Lean methodology to improve the patient experience. The intent of this engagement was to gather experiences from mothers and their partners in order to understand their needs and to identify opportunities for improving their experience of care.  By identifying these opportunities the Birth Centre team could work towards the creation of an ideal state of care and experience for patients, their babies and their families.

Patient Voice to Inform Change

This report reflects the feedback gathered, from past patients of Richmond Hospital, through focus groups and interviews. This consultation was part of a larger project to use Lean methodology to improve the patient experience. The patient feedback will be used to inform the delivery of quality coordinated care on units 3 South and 4 North and  to identify priorities for improvement of the patient experience.

March 2011 Resident and Family Voice Workshops

This report reflects the feedback gathered from participants of seven workshops held, within the VCH region, in November and December 2010. It will be used to inform improvements to how resident and family voice is gathered, heard and utilized to improve the quality of life and care for residents in facilities.
