We have a large dining / recreation room. We also offer limited physiotherapy services on site. Our biggest assets are our accessible gardens.
We do not have a religious affiliation. However we are welcome to all denominations and work closely with them to see how we can support the residents in their religious needs and wishes.
Accreditation is an external peer review process to assess and improve
the services health care organizations provide to their residents, based on
standards of excellence set by Accreditation Canada or by CARF.
We provide a resident centered care approach and do relate to the Eden Philosophy of Care.
75 bed Complex Care unit with 6 private, 4 semi-private and 15 multi-person rooms. Availability is based on need.
Residents pay 80% of their after tax income which covers the cost of food and accommodation. Minimum and maximum rates apply. There may be other costs not included in the resident contribution. Visit our Costs page for more information.
We offer an active recreation program. And have multiple volunteers coming in to help out with our gardens, play music and all sorts of activities.
ECU is Wheelchair accessible and a wheelchair friendly facility.

We do not allow personal pets in our facility due to a number of reasons. We do however have an active pet visiting program. Multiple animals come in our facility and pay visits on a regular basis.
Non-smoking site.
Paladin security provides 24/7 on-site security.
Evergreen Care Unit is built on the same site as the Powell River Hospital and Willingdon Creek Village We are close to both the Powell River Recreation Center and the Powell River Mall.
Due the lay-out of our building and our staffing model, we are unfortunately not able to take care of people who as a result of their dementia exhibit wandering and / or aggressive behavior.
