Accreditation is an external peer review process to assess and improve the services health care organizations provide to their residents, based on standards of excellence set by Accreditation Canada or by CARF.
Resident centered care, Edenized approach
There are 64 long-term private rooms with a bathroom, built in closet, desk and chest of drawers, room for resident’s easy chair and TV, and a phone jack in each room.
Residents pay 80% of their after tax income which covers the cost of food and accommodation. Minimum and maximum rates apply. There may be other costs not included in the resident contribution.Visit our Costs page for more information.
Exercise programs, bus outings, pub nights, shopping trips and special events with families.
All areas are wheelchair accessible. Community physiotherapist used when needed. Lifts for transfers in most rooms.
No scooters in the facility. Motorized wheel chairs are allowed. Very limited scooter parking areas when required for outdoor use.
Facility has its own pets. Visiting pets with good manners are welcome.
No smoking allowed in the facility. There are no specified indoor smoking facilities. No sheltered designated smoking area outdoors.
Alarmed and locked doors, security cameras, wanderguard system, monitored fire alarms.
Bus loop at end of street. Nearest shopping center is Champlain Mall. Convenience store across marine drive-accessed by overhead walkway.
