Accreditation is an external peer review process to assess and improve the services health care organizations provide to their residents, based on standards of excellence set by Accreditation Canada or by CARF.
Each stage of life offers opportunities for growth and every older adult is unique, possesses values and goals, strengths and limitations, rights and responsibilities. Our residents are treated with respect.
90-bed single rooms. Three units:
- Whiting – 50 complex care beds
- Kinney – 20 extended care beds (6 reserved for peritoneal dialysis program)
- Rebekah – 20 special care beds
Residents pay 80% of their after tax income which covers the cost of food and accommodation. Minimum and maximum rates apply. There may be other costs not included in the resident contribution. Visit our Costs page for more information.
Bus outings, bingo, word games, music appreciation, baking, music, to name a few.
Resident will be assessed by occupational therapist for use. Resident must demonstrate safe driving techniques. Scooter must be kept in resident room or just outside the room along the wall. Responsibility of resident/family to keep maintained.
Pet must be well-behaved and healthy, on leash, and under constant supervision and care of adult visitor. Residents with allergies to animals are alerted.
No smoking on Care Centre property (inside or outside). Smoking room on 3rd floor for exclusive use of residents.
Wanderguard, key card entry, secured special care unit, monitored fire alarm system.
