Shorncliffe Adult Day Program, currently located within Shorncliffe LTC Home, is a community program for seniors and/or disabled adults, funded by LTC and The Home and Community Care Division of Vancouver Coastal Health. Using a strengths-based approach, professional staff offer encouragement, instruction and support to help Members participate as fully as possible in the social-recreational activities offered. In addition, professional staff provide advocacy and referral to other health care-related services.

  • Eligibility and referral

    Eligibility is determined by home and community case managers in conjunction with Adult Day Program professional staff based on an assessment process.

    Arrange for care by contacting the Sunshine Coast home and community care office at (604) 741-0726 or have a health-care professional make a referral on your behalf.

This care home provides 24-hour nursing care.

Program offers

Nutritious meals and snacks, opportunities to socialize with peers, basic living skills, music therapy (Java Music Club™), exercises (Drum Fit™), crafts, games and opportunities to learn and discuss various topics.  It also allows caregivers some respite.

Shorncliffe Intermediate Care Home

Shorncliffe is a two-storey, wood-frame building located in Sechelt on the Sunshine Coast. It was originally built in 1983 with a ten-bed extended addition in 1994. Many rooms have views of our feature gardens.

Vancouver Coastal Health, Adult Day Programs, provide seniors and people with disabilities with supportive, culturally inclusive health care services, social stimulation and therapeutic recreational programs in their community.
