<div class="ExternalClass73935B03D2024062AA65E8BC9E02551D"><div><p>​Works with parents, the Ministry of Children and Family Development, schools, hospitals and physicians to provide a range of public health nursing services for children with disabilities in the pre-school/school settings.</p>Services include:<br><ul><li>Health assessments and consultation</li><li>Development of child-specific health procedures (e.g. feeding, glucose monitoring, suctioning, catheter care, special equipment instructions)</li><li>Equipment acquisition and repairs</li><li>Education, training and delegating care to preschool/school staff</li><li>Monitoring and evaluating caregiver competency in the school setting</li><li>Advocacy</li></ul><p>Additional support for children and youth with special needs, including occupational and physiotherapy, is provided through Sea to Sky Community Services.</p><p>How much do these services cost? <br>These services are free-of-charge.</p><p>How do I access these services? <br>Anyone can refer the child by contacting us directly.
