New options for patients with neuromusculoskeletal diseases

Program Description

The Neuromusculoskeletal (NMS) Program specializes in providing rehabilitation services for people with a variety of neuromusculoskeletal impairments:

  • Neuromuscular Disease
  • Polio, Burns
  • Complex Trauma
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Cancer
  • Amputation
  • Neurodegenerative Diseases

ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis)
ALS is a progressive fatal neuromuscular disease. This team works closely with clients and families from referral until end of life.

Amputee Outpatient Team
Clients needing prosthetic rehabilitation are seen pre-amputation, immediately after amputation and for functional upgrading for arm, leg and multiple limb amputations.

NMS Inpatients
Goal oriented intensive rehabilitation for adults with post-acute short term rehabilitative needs.

NMS Outpatients
To provide time limited, goal-oriented outpatient assessment and intervention to people with complex neuromusculoskeletal and/or neurological conditions.

Parking is available
There is a free visitor parking lot north of the main building. Parking for people with disabilities is available and clearly marked outside the main entrance. For more parking and overnight stays, the Children's & Women's Hospital pay parking lot entrance is on West 28th Ave.
