Section 9 - School Health Manual

Our Healthy Attitudes program is a free service that provides early intervention for youth who are preoccupied with their weight and body image or who are at risk for or already have disordered eating behaviour.

The program provides short-term supportive one-to-one counseling, monitoring of nutritional health and support for normal adolescent psychological development.

Who's eligible for this program? 

  • Clients must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the program:
  • 11-24 years old.
  • Resident of Vancouver or Richmond.
  • No previous professional treatment for an eating disorder (i.e. hospital program or intensive treatment.)
  • Medically stable and monitored by their family physician or nurse practitioner.
