How do I refer a student for mental health services?Read Section 8 of the School Health Manual for more information: In an emergency Children and youth experiencing a mental health emergency should go to the nearest emergency department. In Vancouver, children aged 16 and younger should go to BC Children’s Hospital and those aged 17 and older should go to St. Paul’s Hospital or Vancouver General Hospital.
