
Building amenities
All rooms come with basic furnishings but residents are encouraged to personalize their rooms. Meals are prepared in-house and resident feedback is sought to plan menus.
Adanac has an interdisciplinary team that includes:

Adanac supports diverse people with individualized needs. Residents are predominantly English speaking.
Accreditation status
Accreditation is an external peer review process to assess and improve the services health care organizations provide to their residents, based on standards of excellence set by Accreditation Canada or by CARF.

There are 67 singe rooms with ensuite bathrooms. There are 3 semi-private rooms.
Cost
Residents pay 80% of their after tax income which covers the cost of food and accommodation. Minimum and maximum rates apply. There may be other costs not included in the resident contribution.
Special recreation opportunities
We provide a wide variety of programs to support resident engagement and quality of life. These include current event discussions, bowling, bingo, video nights and community outings. Several residents have volunteer responsibilities within the building and many attend programs and activities in the community.
Accessibility
Adanac Park Lodge is fully wheelchair accessible.
Motorized scooter policy
Outdoor type scooters are not to be used in the building.
Pet policy
Adanac welcomes registered therapeutic pets for visits.
Smoking policy
No smoking in resident rooms. There is a designated smoking patio on the second floor.
Safety & security features
Smoke detectors are installed in all rooms and elevators. Security cameras are located in designated areas throughout the building and underground parking. Visitors must ring the doorbell after 7:00 p.m.
Neighbourhood/community amenities
Adanac is located in the beautiful setting of Adanac Park with extensive green space that is accessible to wheelchairs. There is bus transportation next door to the care home with two bus routes – each has access to the Skytrain and the Kootney Loop bus exchange. Located on a major arterial road (Boundary Road), there are ample restaurants and shopping within a one-mile radius.
Care home-specific restrictions
Alcohol and drug use is not permitted in the care home.
