Mental health outpatient services provide psychiatric assessment, consultation and time-limited group psychotherapy treatment to adults.

Mental health issues include:

  • depression
  • adjustment and personality issues
  • generalized anxiety
  • social anxiety
  • Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • obsessive compulsive disorder
  • post-traumatic stress disorder
  • panic disorders
  • sexual disorders
  • mental health issues related to reproduction

What to expect

Therapeutic approaches primarily include cognitive, psycho-educational and dialectical behavioural therapies. Mental health outpatient services work with clients, and sometime their families, to recognize and support their strengths.

The goal is to improve people's quality of life, prevent relapse and build on existing skills and the goals of each person.

How to access services

You can access mental health outpatient services through central intake or by a family physician, psychiatrist or nurse practitioner. We do not accept self-referrals. Find the service near you for more information on how to access a service.
