Hilltop house is operated by Vancouver Coastal Health.
Building amenities
Activity rooms, main TV lounge; hair salon, 6 dining areas, and access to outdoor garden courtyard. Overhead lift system installed in the majority of the resident rooms. Administration offices are located on the main floor.
Language, culture, religious affiliations
The resident population is multicultural and languages spoken by residents are predominantly English.
Accreditation status
Accreditation is an external peer review process to assess and improve the services health care organizations provide to their residents, based on standards of excellence set by Accreditation Canada or by CARF.

Cost
Residents pay 80% of their after tax income which covers the cost of food and accommodation. Minimum and maximum rates apply. There may be other costs not included in the resident contribution.
Special recreation opportunities
A wide variety of social and recreational programming to meet the needs and interests of the residents. Activities also include outings. Scheduled programs are offered 6 days a week, and include such things as music programs, strength training, special events, etc.
Accessibility
Both floors are wheelchair accessible.
Motorized scooter policy
The site can accommodate manual and electric wheelchairs. Secured scooter storage is available.
Pet policy
Residents are not permitted to have pets live in the building. There is a visiting pet program.
Smoking policy
As per VCH policy; NO smoking permitted indoors or on Hilltop House outdoor grounds.
Safety & security features
24-hour staffing and sprinkler/smoke detectors and fire alarm system. Wander-guard systems to ensure resident safety. Security personnel available 24 hours a day via Squamish General Hospital.
Neighbourhood & community amenities
Located in the tranquil setting with beautiful mountain views; also located on a major bus route.
Care home-specific restrictions
No unauthorized alcohol is permitted.
