What to expect
Therapeutic approaches primarily include cognitive, psycho-educational and dialectical behavioural therapies. Mental health outpatient services work with clients, and sometime their families, to recognize and support their strengths.
The goal is to improve people's quality of life, prevent relapse and build on existing skills and the goals of each person.
How to access services
You can access mental health outpatient services through central intake or by a family physician, psychiatrist or nurse practitioner. We do not accept self-referrals. Find the service near you for more information on how to access a service.
