While English is the predominant language of residents, we accommodate the language, cultural and spiritual needs of our diverse residents.
Accreditation is an external peer review process to assess and improve the services health care organizations provide to their residents, based on standards of excellence set by Accreditation Canada or by CARF.

Total of 156 beds – 152 funded and 4 private pay. There are 58 private, 49 semi- private, and no multi-person rooms. All rooms have 1 washroom.
Residents pay 80% of their after tax income which covers the cost of food and accommodation. Minimum and maximum rates apply. There may be other costs not included in the resident contribution. Visit our Costs page for more information.
Arbutus provides a Restorative Care Program to help our residents remain as independent for as long as possible. A chaplain visits weekly and Arbutus provides physiotherapy and music therapy programs. There are also many volunteers.
All entrances, rooms, and washrooms are all wheelchair accessible.
Unable to accommodate motorized scooters.
Pets are welcome to visit. Dogs must be kept on a leash while in the building.
No smoking permitted inside the building.
All exterior doors and stairwell are secured by key pad system. The building is equipped with sprinklers and smoke detectors. Fire drills are held 3 times per month.
One block to Arbutus Shopping Centre, close to Kerrisdale. Quiet neighbourhood with parks and gardens.
