The resident population is multicultural and the languages spoken by the residents is predominately English.
Accreditation is an external peer review process to assess and improve the services health care organizations provide to their residents, based on standards of excellence set by Accreditation Canada or by CARF.
Residents and families are encouraged to participate through Residents’ and Family Council and various facility committees.
The staff of the facility are committed to the Eden Alternative.
The 49 bed facility has a variety of 4 bed, double and single rooms and palliative care room.
Residents pay 80% of their after tax income which covers the cost of food and accommodation. Minimum and maximum rates apply. There may be other costs not included in the resident contribution. Visit our Costs page for more information.
A wide variety of social and recreational programming to meet the needs and interests of the residents. Activities include social bus outings. Scheduled programs are offered 5 days a week and include such things as strength training, music therapy programs and special events, etc.
The facility is wheelchair accessible. Ramp area at the front entrance and covered pick up area.
This site can accommodate manual wheelchairs only; no electric wheel chairs or scooters are permitted inside the building. Secure scooter storage is available.
Pet visiting is acceptable if it is determined that such visiting promotes the health and wellbeing of the residents.
Smoking is not permitted on-site.
Secured monitored building with 24 hour staffing, smoke detectors and a fire alarm system.
Located near a major bus route, located within walking distance of the local shopping centre.
No unauthorized alcohol is permitted. No smoking on site. No electric wheelchairs or scooters permitted in the building.
