<div class="ExternalClass493D65AB05F34253BA96B0BBEDFC4690"><div>The Adolescent Complex Concussion Clinic (ACCC) is a multi-disciplinary team specializing in treating school-aged adolescent who are slow to recover from a concussion. </div><div><br></div><div>Referrals are screened and the adolescent is scheduled to see the members of the team who are the most appropriate to be involved in his/her care. </div><div><br></div><div>Physiatry Criteria for referral: <br><ul><li>Aged 12-17 years or 18 year old in high school diagnosed with a concussion in the last 18 months. </li><li>Is either MORE than 1 month post-concussion with persistent symptoms OR less than 1 month with ONE of the following risk factor(s): prior concussion(s), history of learning disability, diagnosis of ADHD or other developmental disability, history of migraine/headaches, history of depression/mood disorders/anxiety, and/or sleep disorder. </li><li>Must have been seen by the local general physician, pediatrician, and/or concussion clinic but now needs specialized provincial service due to the unresolved complex persistent concussion symptoms. </li><li>Physician referrals only. </li><li>Exclusion: severe/untreated substance use disorder and mental health condition.</li></ul></div><div>Possible team members include: <br><ul><li>Occupational Therapist </li><li>GF Strong School Program Teacher </li><li>Physiatrist </li><li>Physiotherapist* </li><li>Neuropsychologist* </li><li>Social work (Limited service – with referral from)</li></ul></div></div>4255 Laurel Street<div class="ExternalClassF23121F214E04B278599A31C49158BC1"><p>Monday 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.</p><p>Tuesday 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.</p><p>Thursday 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.</p></div>(604) 734-1313 extension 2235V5Z 2G9BC<div class="ExternalClass4EA7EC96112E4AFBA5EC5B35EC2C0B2A"><p>Paid parking is available.
