The service consists of one on one counselling and or support by the coordinator and or trained volunteers. Companionship, information, and practical assistance are the focus. A yearly 6-session "Journey Through Grief" program is offered. The program houses an extensive lending library.<br></p><h2>What is hospice palliative care?<br></h2><p>Hospice palliative care provides comfort and quality of life care for people living with life-limiting illness and their families. The focus is on comfort care, such as pain control, rather than care aimed at curing illness.
