<div class="ExternalClass0F9AB352B7694D1FA5249011604643A3"><p>LGH Breath Program supports your ability to self-manage Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) through learning, exercising, and connecting with others. The 5-week program consists of:  <br></p><ul><li><p>Initial meeting with the team/respirologist<br></p></li><li><p>10 Group Education sessions covering a variety of topics:   </p></li></ul><table cellspacing="0" width="100%" class="ms-rteTable-default"><tbody><tr><td class="ms-rteTable-default" style="width:50%;"><p></p><ul><li>Lung conditions</li><li>Chest infections </li><li>Breathing control</li><li>Bronchial hygiene</li><li>Pulmonary function tests</li><li>Oxygen therapy</li><li>Drug delivery systems</li><li>Exercise<br></li><li>Action plan<br></li></ul><p></p></td><td class="ms-rteTable-default" style="width:50%;"><p></p><ul><li>Nutrition</li><li>Energy conservation</li><li>Relaxation techniques</li><li>Stress management</li><li>Coping skills</li><li>Intimacy</li><li>Travel planning<br></li><li>Self-management<br></li><li>Goal setting<br></li></ul><p></p></td></tr></tbody></table><ul><li><p>Each group education ends with an exercise component which include aerobic exercise, weight training and stretches. <br></p></li><li><p>A follow-up assessment at 3-6 months after the completion of the program is provided. <br></p></li></ul><p>Note: </p><ul><li><p>Sessions run from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday for five weeks. We have 12 – 16 participants in each session.
