<div class="ExternalClass26E935609ACD41638A07F8B51EA83F77"><p></p></div><p>​What is Nuclear Medicine?</p><p>Nuclear Medicine is a specialty of medicine that uses radioactive materials to diagnose and treat diseases.  An examination involves the administration of a radioactive material via intravenous injection, inhalation or ingestion. Depending on the body organ being tested, imaging occurs immediately or up to several days post administration of the radiopharmaceutical. <br></p><p>Is it safe?</p><p>There are rarely any side effects.
