Glen CoppingGlen CoppingChief Financial Officer and Vice President, Systems Development & Performance<p></p>Glen Copping is responsible for financial services, general counsel & legal services, facilities, Business Initiatives and Support Services (BISS), patient flow improvement, internal audit, supply chain & logistics and decision support. He also serves as the Executive Lead for VCH’s residential care and home support strategies.<br>Glen is a natural collaborator with a history of leading and bringing out the best in large, multi-disciplinary teams. He is results-driven and articulate in describing that results are about more than the bottom line. Before joining Vancouver Coastal Health, Glen was with the Microsoft Corporation, where he served in a number of senior finance roles and most recently as Senior Finance Director for Manufacturing Supply Chain and Information Services.<br>Prior to joining Microsoft, Glen worked for Nortel Networks, a multinational telecommunications and data networking manufacturing company. Among his responsibilities there was combining 23 accounts payable locations across North America, re-engineering processes and bringing them together in one location.<br>Glen began his career as an engineer after earning his Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of British Columbia, and an MBA from Simon Fraser University. His career path evolved to include accounting and successively senior positions in the United States, but Glen enthusiastically returned to Vancouver in September 2013 to take up his current position of Chief Financial Officer and VP of Systems Development & Performance.<img alt="" src="/PublishingImages/VCH-Glen-Copping.jpg" style="BORDER:0px solid;" />Glen Copping is responsible for financial services, general counsel & legal services, facilities, business initiatives & support services, patient flow improvement, internal audit, supply chain & logistics and decision support.
Anne HarveyAnne HarveyVice President, Employee Engagement<div><br></div>Anne joined Vancouver Coastal Health in 2005 and has a broad Human Resources portfolio which includes LEAN process improvement, HR analytics & forecasting, recruitment & compensation, labour relations, electronic staff scheduling & timekeeping, clinical education and management education & development. Anne and her team promote an HR business model that is numbers-driven and outcome-focused, with strong union partnerships.<br>In her career at VCH, Anne has actualized her passion for organizational development into a series of leading edge human resource programs. Whether it is the “Come for the job, stay for the team” international recruitment campaign, workforce forecasting, or the results generating Attendance Wellness Program, VCH human resource programs have tackled traditional health sector inefficiencies and found new solutions measured by innovative use of HR analytics. <br>“A productive public sector workforce providing great care and service is key to maintaining the Health Care system for Canadians,” in Anne’s view.  “Health Care has a highly trained and educated workforce. Retaining skilled and experienced employees even when they have been ill or injured, is one of our key strategies to reduce costs and deal with the skill shortages we expect as generational handover occurs in the workforce.”  Anne has also pioneered some work involving front line staff in setting new staffing levels. See Healthcare Management Forum Volume 24, Issue 4, Winter 2011, Pages 184–187.<br>Anne also believes that high calibre management staff is key to the sustainability of Canada’s health care system. “We need to train managers and directors who are comfortable holding them and staff accountable, and who can lead the continuous process improvement we will need in the future to care for more patients with a proportionately smaller workforce.”<br>Prior to joining Vancouver Coastal Health, Anne was the Chief Operating Officer of the BC Nurses Union. Darcia PopeDarcia PopeVice President and Chief Transformation Officer<p class="phsa-rteElement-Paragraph">As Vice President and Chief Transformation Officer, Darcia Pope supports the measurement and realization of benefits and outcomes of transformation initiatives that shape the way VCH provides care and service. She identifies barriers and strategies to ensure initiatives and projects remain on track, move to completion, and are aligned with the organization's strategic priorities and long term financial plans.<br></p><p class="phsa-rteElement-Paragraph">With a Bachelor of Commerce degree and Masters in Health Administration, delivering results is something Darcia has extensive experience in. Her health career has included roles as Patient Care Manager for the Outpatient Department at St. Paul's Hospital and Change Leader for the amalgamation of Providence Health Care. Darcia joined VCH in 2002 where among her roles was Director of Enterprise Services in IMITS and the new position of Executive Director of Transformation. In that role, Darcia's focus would shift over the years to include Workforce Optimization, Green Care, Primary and Community Systems projects, and Strategic Initiatives.
