Glen CoppingGlen CoppingChief Financial Officer and Vice President, Systems Development & Performance<p></p>Glen Copping is responsible for financial services, general counsel & legal services, facilities, Business Initiatives and Support Services (BISS), patient flow improvement, internal audit, supply chain & logistics and decision support. He also serves as the Executive Lead for VCH’s residential care and home support strategies.<br>Glen is a natural collaborator with a history of leading and bringing out the best in large, multi-disciplinary teams. He is results-driven and articulate in describing that results are about more than the bottom line. Before joining Vancouver Coastal Health, Glen was with the Microsoft Corporation, where he served in a number of senior finance roles and most recently as Senior Finance Director for Manufacturing Supply Chain and Information Services.<br>Prior to joining Microsoft, Glen worked for Nortel Networks, a multinational telecommunications and data networking manufacturing company. Among his responsibilities there was combining 23 accounts payable locations across North America, re-engineering processes and bringing them together in one location.<br>Glen began his career as an engineer after earning his Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of British Columbia, and an MBA from Simon Fraser University. His career path evolved to include accounting and successively senior positions in the United States, but Glen enthusiastically returned to Vancouver in September 2013 to take up his current position of Chief Financial Officer and VP of Systems Development & Performance.<img alt="" src="/PublishingImages/VCH-Glen-Copping.jpg" style="BORDER:0px solid;" />Glen Copping is responsible for financial services, general counsel & legal services, facilities, business initiatives & support services, patient flow improvement, internal audit, supply chain & logistics and decision support.
Darcia PopeDarcia PopeVice President and Chief Transformation Officer<p class="phsa-rteElement-Paragraph">As Vice President and Chief Transformation Officer, Darcia Pope supports the measurement and realization of benefits and outcomes of transformation initiatives that shape the way VCH provides care and service. She identifies barriers and strategies to ensure initiatives and projects remain on track, move to completion, and are aligned with the organization's strategic priorities and long term financial plans.<br></p><p class="phsa-rteElement-Paragraph">With a Bachelor of Commerce degree and Masters in Health Administration, delivering results is something Darcia has extensive experience in. Her health career has included roles as Patient Care Manager for the Outpatient Department at St. Paul's Hospital and Change Leader for the amalgamation of Providence Health Care. Darcia joined VCH in 2002 where among her roles was Director of Enterprise Services in IMITS and the new position of Executive Director of Transformation. In that role, Darcia's focus would shift over the years to include Workforce Optimization, Green Care, Primary and Community Systems projects, and Strategic Initiatives. Laura CaseLaura CaseChief Operating Officer, Vancouver Community & Vice President, Employee Engagement<p class="phsa-rteElement-Paragraph">As Chief Operating Officer for VCH Vancouver Community, Laura Case is responsible for a $600 million dollar budget that oversees a wide-ranging portfolio of health care services and programs that are provided outside of the Vancouver acute care setting. This wide and diverse portfolio includes mental health and substance use, adult and older adult, home and community care, housing, infant, child and youth, public health, primary care and residential care. Laura is also responsible for health care services provided in the Downtown Eastside.</p><p class="phsa-rteElement-Paragraph">In her role as Vice President of Employee Engagement, Laura oversees the human resources portfolio for VCH which includes LEAN process improvement, Human Resource analytics and forecasting, recruitment and compensation, labour relations, Employee Wellness and staff and management development. She is passionate about staff, physician and client led program and system transformation in order to truly develop a culture of collaboration and high performance across the health authority.</p><p class="phsa-rteElement-Paragraph">Laura began her career in health care in the 1980s as a registered nurse and psychiatric nurse in the Fraser Health Authority. She has provided clinical care in a number of settings, including emergency, mental health and substance use, home and community care. Laurie DawkinsLaurie DawkinsVice President, Communications, Public Affairs & Community Engagement<br><p class="phsa-rteElement-Paragraph">Laurie Dawkins is an Accredited Business Communicator and Master Communicator of Canada with more than 24 years' experience in the communications industry. In her role as interim Vice President, she leads a dynamic, award-winning team responsible for internal and external communication, employee engagement, web development, digital and social media, media relations and issues management, government relations and community engagement. <br></p><p class="phsa-rteElement-Paragraph">Laurie's career has spanned all aspect of communications and public relations, in industries ranging from mining and technology to advanced education and health care. She has led ground-breaking and controversial campaigns like the media relations launch of North America's first supervised injection site on Vancouver's Downtown Eastside, as well as highly successful  employee engagement projects that have helped VCH's staff and leaders better understand VCH's strategic business goals. <br></p><p class="phsa-rteElement-Paragraph">Laurie has built a reputation as an insightful, strategic and yet compassionate communicator capable of coaching senior executives to build strong personal brands, and creating compelling communication strategies that advance employee engagement.   <br></p><p class="phsa-rteElement-Paragraph">Laurie is an active member of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), locally, nationally and internationally, a frequent mentor to new communicators, and she holds more than 22 industry awards and honours for her professional work and volunteerism.<br></p><p class="phsa-rteElement-Paragraph"><br></p><img alt="Laurie Dawkins" src="/PublishingImages/Laurie-Dawkins.jpg?RenditionID=5" style="BORDER:0px solid;" />
